Jo Oakley

Jo Oakley's new collection has a strong narrative; she captures a moment in time that has been influenced by childhood memories of time spent in her Nana's kitchen watching.

 

She has a fascination with textiles from the 1920 - 50's and these have a strong link to her visual memory. Time spent at her beach-hut on the Thames Estuary reinforces this narrative and she invites the viewer to share in the experience with her.
